Basketball
sports changes lives

At Pass tha Ball (PTB), we offer quality programs and services that touch on the essential skills for building character, resiliency, good decision making, maintain optimal health, positive academic progress and leadership capabilities during the most vulnerable and critical years of a young person's life. The adolescent also known as the teen years are some of the most challenging times for young girls who endure incredible peer pressure . Young girls are 3X more likely to struggle with mental health and 40% of girls that spend more than 5 hours on social media a day demonstrate symptoms of depression (Young People's Mental and Emotional Health, 2021). Girls are more likely to have low self-esteem and poor body image.

Sports counters these issues. Research shows that girls who play sports reflect higher levels of confidence, have higher average GPAs and use social media at lower rates than their peers (The Girls Index, 2018). PTB programs were designed with this research in mind to provide positive, constructive and sage outlets for adolescent girls.
